ADD: WISE

Many of you have surely already noticed that we have received a wonderful new food series at Dots, the Swedish ADD:WISE. With the products of this series, you can easily get additional spice in your kitchen and inspiration for cooking. I hope that many of you have already gotten to know the brand and maybe even tested its products. Even if this is the case, we still want to tell a little background story to the brand and the reasons why we fell in love with it at first sight.

ADD:WISE was founded in 2014 by Cecilia Falk. Falk previously worked as an architect for many years, but that had to give way to a new passion. Falk says that he got the idea for his company when he constantly came across a problem in the market: the products were either beautifully packaged but the contents were poorly prepared, or the product was good in terms of content but the outer shell left room for improvement. The purpose of ADD:WISE is to combine these two aspects - a beautiful exterior design combined with high-quality content that supports sustainable development.

Sounds super cool, right?

We at Dots are at least of the opinion that ADD:WISE's packaging is so beautiful that we are happy to leave it half-carelessly on the kitchen counter :)

ADD:WISE has its own factory near Stockholm where all products are designed, produced and filled by hand . Thus ensuring that each product is made with love and sustainably, while taking care of the environment and people. In addition, all products are locally produced, organic and comply with Fair trade rules . Referring to this, the brand's slogan has also gained its meaning: "When you add something to your life do it wisely".

However, the good sides don't end there. Falk strongly believes in a fair and equal world, and wants to be involved in making the world a slightly better place. Because of this he has own social investment program which is involved in supporting people with special needs . In this company, if anywhere, the heart is in place.

ADD:WISE products make it easy to liven up traditional recipes. As an example of this, we want to share one of ADD:WISE's own super-easy recipes with which you can take traditional popcorn to a whole new level. All you need is corn kernels, a small amount of butter, ADD:WISE Black Truffle Oil, and ADD:WISE Herbal Sea Salt Mix.

Put a knob of butter and ADD:WISE's black truffle oil in the pot, add the corn kernels. Pop the corn kernels open by gently heating them in a pot. Shake the pot throughout the process and remember to keep the lid on. When the grains have all popped, take the pot off the stove and pour the poppers into a bowl. Season them with ADD:WISE's herbal sea salt mix. Piece of cake!
