5.1 Rights and Restrictions Regarding the Use of the Service

Dots grants users a limited, revocable, non-exclusive and personal right to use the Service and its content as defined in these Terms, solely in accordance with these Terms and any additional terms or instructions provided separately within the Service. Users may use the Service and its content only for their own personal, non-commercial purposes.

Users may not modify or reproduce the Service or its content, in whole or in part. Users are also not permitted to distribute, disseminate, transmit, publicly display or otherwise make the Service or its content available to the public, whether in its original or modified form, unless expressly permitted under these Terms. If the Service provides an explicit option to share content through social media services, such as social media sharing buttons, using that option shall not be considered a breach of these Terms.

Users may print, copy or save content from the Service to their own devices for personal use. All copyright notices and other proprietary notices contained in the Service must be retained in any such printouts or copies.

Users may not interrupt, attempt to interrupt, interfere with or attempt to interfere with the operation of the Service or other users' ability to use the Service in any way. Prohibited activities include uploading or transmitting material containing automated disruption programs, viruses or other components capable of affecting the software or technical structure of the Service.

Users may not use the Service to:

(a) impersonate a representative of Dots;
(b) forge or manipulate headers or identification information in an attempt to conceal the origin of content transmitted through the Service;
(c) provide false information in any other way;
(d) store or collect other users' personal data;
(e) transmit spam or other unauthorised communications; or
(f) engage in any other activity that is unlawful or contrary to good practices.

5.2 Changes to the Service

The Service and its content are provided on an “as is” basis. Dots reserves the right to modify or change the Service or its content at any time without prior notice or liability for compensation. Dots may, among other things, change or modify the products or prices displayed in the Service, add or remove sections of the Service, and make free sections chargeable or chargeable sections free of charge.

Dots also reserves the right to suspend or discontinue the provision of the Service, its content or any section of it, either in whole or in part, at any time, or to restrict access to the Service or any of its sections.

If a user has acted in breach of these Terms, any additional terms or instructions provided within the Service, applicable laws or good practices, Dots reserves the right to block the user's access to the Service and prohibit further use of it.

5.3 Registration

Access to certain sections of the Service may require users to register. The right to use sections requiring registration may be restricted, depending on the section, to natural persons or legal entities.

When registering for the Service, users must provide accurate information as requested. Providing false information is prohibited and may result in consequences. When registering, users choose a username and password. Users are responsible for keeping their passwords secure and confidential and for all activities carried out through their user accounts on the Service.

Users must contact Dots immediately if they discover or suspect that their login credentials have been compromised or that their accounts are being used without authorisation. Dots reserves the right to suspend or close user accounts.

6. Links to External Websites and External Links to the Service

The Service may contain links to websites owned and maintained by third parties. These linked websites are not under the control of Dots, and Dots does not monitor or review their content. Dots accepts no responsibility for the content, accuracy, reliability or security of linked websites.

Following links to external websites will take users away from the Service. Users access and use such websites at their own risk. Users are encouraged to read the terms of service and instructions of any linked website carefully before using it.

Any external link to the Service must point directly to the main page of the Service and must open in a separate browser window rather than within a frame on the linking website.

The appearance, placement and other characteristics of the link must not adversely affect the reputation or goodwill associated with Dots or its trademarks, nor create a misleading impression that the linking party, its services or its products are affiliated with or sponsored by Dots. The link must not contain graphic representations of Dots' trademarks.

Links from the Service to external websites, as well as external links to the Service, do not imply any relationship between Dots and the third party operating the linking or linked website.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

The Service and its content, including texts, images, product information, trademarks and logos, are the property of Dots or its partners. They are protected by copyright laws, international copyright treaties and other intellectual property laws and registrations.

All intellectual property rights relating to the Service and its content, including copyrights, registered and unregistered trademark and design rights, domain names, patents, database rights and trade secrets, as well as any goodwill arising from their use, belong to Dots or its partners. Dots does not grant users any express or implied rights to any intellectual property.

8. Limitation of Liability

Dots endeavours to keep the Service continuously available to users and free from interruptions. However, Dots does not guarantee that the Service will be available without interruption, in a timely manner or without errors. The Service and its content are provided to users on an “as is” basis. Dots accepts no responsibility for the accuracy, reliability, errors, omissions, inaccuracies or other defects in information or content provided through the Service.

Dots cannot guarantee the security of the Service, its content or information transmitted through the Service. Dots does not guarantee that electronic communications sent through the Service will be free from viruses or other harmful components. Dots is also not responsible for information or content sent or received by users through the Service, or for information or content that is not successfully sent or received.

The Service may not be available in all countries and may only be available in certain languages. The availability and functionality of the Service, or certain features of it, may depend on device compatibility, network connections and content formats.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dots shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages, including damages arising from the loss of business, contracts, profits or data, or from business interruption, resulting from the use of or inability to use the Service or its content, or from these Terms. This limitation applies regardless of whether the claim is based on contract, tort, negligence or any other legal basis, even if Dots has been advised in advance of the possibility of such damages. In all circumstances, Dots' liability shall be limited to the extent required by mandatory applicable law.

The user agrees to release Dots, its employees, directors and representatives acting on its behalf from liability in respect of any claims or demands arising from the user's use of the Service, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Amendments to the Terms and Notices

Dots reserves the right to amend these Terms at its discretion by notifying users by email or through the Service. Amendments shall take effect once notice of them has been given. Continued use of the Service after such notice shall be deemed acceptance of the amended Terms.

Dots may publish notices within the Service. Dots may also send notices relating to the Service to the email address or telephone number provided by the user. Notices shall be deemed received seven (7) days after they have been sent or published. Continued use of the Service shall be deemed confirmation that the user has received all notices, regardless of the method of delivery.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

The use of the Service and these Terms shall be governed by the laws of Finland, excluding its conflict-of-law rules.

The parties shall endeavour to resolve any disputes primarily through negotiations. If an amicable settlement cannot be reached, disputes shall be resolved by the Helsinki District Court in Finland. A consumer user may also bring a dispute before the competent District Court determined by their place of residence or submit the dispute to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board.
