We promised to introduce you to new arrivals in the Dots family this fall. Just and Residus have already become familiar, but we still have one to introduce. Here it comes – Beaumont Organic . This English brand emphasizes responsibility in the form of a story. But what does this mean? Keep reading and we'll tell you.

A word of warning, you might fall in love.

Behind Beaumont Organic is a determined woman named Hannah Beaumont-Laurencia. Respect, trust, loyalty, honesty and gratitude. These are Hannah's most important life values, and based on them she strives to live her life, one responsible act at a time. It was also important for Hannah to include the same world of values in her own brand, and in all the design work that happens behind it. Beaumont Organic represents Hannah's own lifestyle, and this lifestyle is one we would all do well to adopt. At least in a way.

Stories are a strong part of Hannah's world of thought. He believes that every item has its own story and through these stories we form different emotional ties to the items, and that's why we want to use them again and again. The more and longer the item is used, the more wonderful the story will be - and at the same time the useful life will be extended. This story-thinking is, at least for us Dotsians, absolutely charming!! And this way of thinking is not only limited to clothes, but can also be applied to, for example, interior design.

Do you remember how on a dark autumn evening you and your spouse curled up together in the corner of the sofa to watch a movie? Do you remember which lamp was installed first after moving into a new home? Or Do you remember what you were wearing when your best friend asked you to her wedding? You can't give up these kinds of things, can you?

We own a lot of stuff, and each item has its own story. Sometimes it's wonderful to just stop and remember these events that touch everyone, which you have been able to witness along your own journey. With the help of these feelings, you not only get to feel good about yourself, but you can create your own version of responsible and sustainable consumption.

Would this be a way of thinking that would be easy for all of us to adopt?

Now to the collection itself and the products.

Beaumont's vision is to design and create modern and responsible clothing using luxury materials. In other words, the products are designed for modern women who value ethical luxury. That is, exactly for us Dots babes. The collections consist of classic products that have been given a modern twist with unusual silhouettes. For Dots, we have selected a small batch of easy products that work in everyday life, both for remote work and shopping trips. And the materials are the best! The collections' main raw materials are organic cotton and wool.

Organic cotton – Organic cotton

Organic cotton plays the biggest role in Beaumont's collections. They use only GOTS-certified cotton in their products, which means that the origin of the material is completely traceable. The steps of the entire production process are known, from planting the cotton to sewing the fabric. No harmful pesticides, chemicals or genetically modified seeds (GMO seeds) have been used in the manufacturing process of the material either. Cotton is also planted in such a way that water consumption can be minimized and the growing soil is kept healthy.

Wool

Beaumont only uses wool produced in the EU. The reason for this can be found in the exact regulations and laws for wool produced in the EU. The wool is collected in a way that complies with animal rights regulations without harming the sheep. If possible, Beaumont also reuses recycled wool yarn.

In addition, Beaumont utilizes the so-called "end of roll" materials. These are surplus fabrics that have been left over from other producers and would otherwise go to the scrap heap.

Beaumont Organic designs only two collections a year and the products are made based on advance orders. This differs from the general practice of the industry, where clothes are produced first, and then sold. In Beaumont's model, the clothes are already sold before they start making them. In this way, raw materials are saved and it is ensured that not a single piece of clothing is made in vain. Wouldn't it be right to start a story if no one is known to continue it?

The collections are produced in factories located within the EU, where the working conditions are good and the workers are paid a fair wage. Beaumont also offers a flexible schedule for the production of the collections, so that the days of the employees stay within the allowed limits and no one has to work a round-the-clock day. Hannah visits the factories regularly to make sure that everything is going according to plan and that everyone is doing well.

The Beaumont Organic Foundation

Beaumount Organic's ethics extend not only to their material choices, design work and working conditions. In the same year that Hannah founded Beaumount Organic in 2008, she also founded The Beaumont Organic Foundation, which aims to support education and health activities on the island of Fiji, in Taveuni. But why there? The answer can be found in Hannah's teaching background. He has taught math at a local school there and has seen with his own eyes the dire need for things we take for granted, such as pencils, erasers and school books. That's why 1% of Beaumount Organic's revenue goes directly to that foundation every year. Until 2014, the foundation focused on supporting education and schools, but later, as the situation improved, it has changed its focus to a local hospital.

This brand has the right world of values.

We Dotsi residents have at least welcomed Beaumont Organic with joy and open arms <3 In their collection, you can find perfect products for the "remote working period" that is prevailing at the moment.
