In 2000, we opened the doors to Dots. The first Dots… Dreams come true. The store was opened in beautiful "freda" among other brick and mortar stores, and we are still there today. 15 years later, we opened the doors to Dots Turku. We found a personal, three-level Liiketila on Linnankatu next to the traditional Casagrande toy store, and we created our own Dots world there too. Dots represents fashion, well-being, beauty and beautiful things - but above all, it is a warm meeting place. We have shared this feeling with you for 20 years.
We want to bring experiences to everyday life. We strive to make sure that every time you enter the Dots door, you get a new experience. An experience that pampers all the senses - a beautiful store, scented candles, soft clothes, pleasant music and wonderful tastings. At least we've had fun coming to work - I hope you've had nice moments at Dots too.
We have been pleased to note that many of you have learned to visit Dots regularly. You have trusted us when you have been in need of help. Whether it was a business meeting, a wedding party, photography props, a graduation dress or just everyday wear, you have trusted us and our professionalism. Thanks for that. We are extremely grateful.
In the past years, we have acted as style consultants, seamstresses, waiters, guides, referrals, guinea pigs, photographers, recommenders, storytellers... The list could go on endlessly.

The Fashion Evening Party nights or "feps" have been the highlights of the year, at least for us. In these evenings, we have been able to celebrate together with your wonderful customers. The evenings have included laughter, taste experiences, joy, surprises and interesting discussions. We got to know you for real. In this way, you have become part of the Dots family and way of life.
One Dots babe said that they have even built their own tradition around the Dots FEP evenings: Mother and daughters first participate in feps together and then continue their evening with a restaurant dinner. These stories are so wonderful to hear!
The beginning of the year has always been an exciting time for us Dotsi people. The feelings have been like a child on Christmas morning, when we have been able to open spring broadcasts almost every day. The early spring collections have acted like a warm hug and brought light to the end of the tunnel after a long winter. Although it has still been winter and dark outside, we have been able to create our own little spring in the store. At least it has brought us a lot of energy. It has been our pleasure to share this energy with you.
Pastel colors, bold patterns and light materials. I could sum up the current spring's trends in these words. Our selection has now also been exceptionally wide and versatile. It has been wonderful to notice that there is something for everyone. Even if pastel colors weren't quite "your thing", we have found some clothing with another color scale instead. So the spring collection seemed very successful. We were looking forward to the coming spring .
However, something happened in March that surely no one could have prepared for...
As a small company, we had to react quickly to the coronavirus situation. We ended up closing both of our brick-and-mortar stores on March 23rd, and moved all of our operations to the online store. However, we have now later opened the doors of the stores again, with reduced opening hours.
The effects of the coronavirus have hit small entrepreneurs particularly hard. The same goes for Dots. Of the companies that responded to Fashion Finland's survey, a clear majority reported that sales suffered by 86-100% during the pandemic. Sales in Dots Helsinki and Dots Turku have also fallen sharply. The online store has picked up nicely, but by no means so much that it would save us. As a result, we have also had to lay off the majority of our staff.
We love our customers. We love our store. We love Dots.
Now, however, just loving is not enough.
We're doing everything we can to stay part of the street scene, but we need your help to do that.
How can you support Dots?
- Go shopping in a store if possible.
However, please only come there in good health. We take care of the necessary safety intervals and hygiene (Dots Helsinki open Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat 11am-3pm, and Dots Turku open Wed, Fri and Sat 11am-3pm). You also have the opportunity to come and shop privately. You are in contact with the store if you would like to do this. We will be happy to come just for you.

Dots.fi online store serves you 24/7. We have also added a chat to the pages where our own Dots babes are answering. We strive to provide a similar service via chat as in our stores. So you can ask us anything related to the products. We are active in the chat between 9-21.
Dots Turku: Call the store, and we will collect the products you want and mail them to you.
If you can't or don't want to physically come to the store, you can also call us and we can mail the products to your home. Check the products you would like to order in the online store and we will collect them for you from the Turku store and send them to you cash on delivery. Also follow our social media channels. There we present products that are only available in the Turku store.
- Buy a gift card in the store.
Buying a gift card is an immediate help. Even if you don't need anything at the moment, this way you can invest in a hopeful future. We hope that soon we will again be able to mark events and parties in the calendar where we can wear Dots.
We have decided to start discount sales in our stores. This is very exceptional, because the spring season is still completely over. However, we had to react quickly to this exceptional situation. All spring collection products are now at least -30%.
We have also started a clearance sale. Products from previous seasons are available at significantly reduced prices. The selection varies between stores. However, we try to put pictures of the products on our social media channels.
Dots Helsinki is currently open Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat from 11am to 3pm.
Dots Turku is currently open Wed, Fri and Sat from 11am to 3pm.
However, situations are constantly changing, so we may change practices even on a fast schedule. Please follow our social media channels to keep up to date with our activities.
Although we hope to see as many of you as possible at Dots, we still want to emphasize that we act primarily responsibly . We try to make sure that everyone feels safe in the store. We follow the recommendations of the health authorities and act in accordance with the set restrictions. So we take care of the necessary safety intervals and put special emphasis on hygiene. We disinfect the surfaces of the store constantly and hand sanitizer is available for customers.
We have been able to act as your own "walk-in closet" for 20 years already - and we hope to do so for at least another 20 years. We want to continue to hear all your joys, sorrows, problems and successes. We want to be a part of your everyday lives. Dots lifestyle .
