If you were to ask the alphabet of Dots Babe's life, the letter F would be jeans, of course. Jeans, jeans, denims. They are a wardrobe classic that, as you know, require persistence in the fitting room and often divide their wearers into two different gift camps: narrow or slightly wider. They are even such a classic that we think they deserve a whole month of their own this year. October is jeans month in Dotse!

︎ Take a bite. When shopping for jeans, you should prefer tight-fitting instead of baggy. The jeans take their final shape only when worn by the wearer, so there is often not much extra in the right size during the first fitting. The more elastane in the jeans, the more the jeans stretch in use. So you shouldn't forget patience in the fitting room, the final fitting of the jeans requires several wears.
︎ Avoid the belt loop grip. When wearing jeans, always lift the jeans by the "collar" or firmly by the waistband. Don't lift your pants by the belt loops, even the most durable stitching will break from fraying!
︎ Does the model matter? There are guidelines that can help you navigate the denim jungle and find the best jeans model for your body. However, more than tips or instructions, we believe that the perfect jeans model is always individual to the wearer. What feels like one's own, that looks good to one's own eyes, makes heads turn after a self-confident femme fatale - not just the right cut and a certain model. ︎ Best without washing. Avoid washing your jeans for as long as possible, this way you save the color of your dark and black jeans in particular. Instead of washing, air the jeans between uses with a hanger or put the jeans in a plastic bag in the freezer overnight. When washing can no longer be avoided, wash the jeans by hand or in a 30° delicate wash without spinning. Always wash jeans inside out with buttons and zippers closed. Also leave room in the machine during washing, so don't fill the drum to the limit - also take into account that the color can come off the jeans during washing! Do not use fabric softener (it weakens elastane fibers) and never tumble dry jeans. Also check the content of your detergent and use only bleach-free detergent. ︎ Treat yourself nicely. After washing, dry the jeans on a hanger and stretch them slightly vertically. Store the jeans on a hanger or loosely cut, to prevent stretching, always close the buttons and zippers.
