Many have surely noticed the effect of coffee as a stimulant. However, now we can get to know how the filtered morsels of your morning coffee can also benefit your skin.
We're proud to introduce a new skin care line coming to Dots, which is amazingly made entirely from recycled coffee grounds and natural ingredients. Coffee grounds have been used in beauty care for a long time, but the concept of its benefits for both the user and the environment has been completely renewed with grums.
Grums Aarhus was founded in a small town in Denmark by a trio of men, Mikkel, Rasmus and Simon. The products they make are great for skin care, because more than 99% of the nutrients contained in coffee remain in the coffee grounds after filtering.

The products naturally contain many of the same features that many large cosmetic companies add to their products using extra chemicals. The trio, on the other hand, swears by naturalness, and grums products are free of parabens, fragrances, allergens and dyes. Face, hand and teeth scrubs are currently available, all of which have been tested before entering the market on up to 120 people, and the quality has been ensured with more than 12 months of manufacturing time.

At Dots, we value ethics and want to reflect our values through the products we sell. For this reason, the great thing is that the coffee grounds used by Grums are collected daily from Danish cafes, and then they are wrapped in environmentally friendly plant-based plastic made from sugar cane for preparation on the way. Fortunately, the founders of grums discovered the functionality of coffee grounds as a natural cell regenerator and a rich source of antioxidants, because coffee grounds would accumulate as waste over 50 tons per year in Denmark alone.
Like grums, Dots also believes in product transparency and that every customer has the right to know exactly what the products they use contain and, more importantly, what they put on their skin. Here you can find the exact product contents of Grums Aarhus.
