FOR THE LOVE OF KNITTING

It embraces warmly in the cool winter, it familiarly wraps itself around as the summer nights stretch into the morning and as the seasons and trends change, it is sure to wait its turn in the wardrobe. Why not deny it: this is love - genuine knitting love!
Grab our tips for lasting love of knitting:
︎ As a material, wool is self-cleaning, and in everyday life wool knits mainly only need regular ventilation between uses. Finish the airy sweater with a spritz of Washologi 's Eau de Parfum, and the sweater is ready for a new day! Perfumed waters scented with essential oils not only refresh the wearer's essence, even in the middle of a working day. That's why we carry a travel-sized package of perfumes in our carry-on bag!
︎ What a stain! Remove the stains on the sweater as fresh as possible, only locally - so don't wash the whole sweater if you don't have to! Stock up in the washing cabinet, for example, with a classic for stain removers: bile soap, which effectively cuts through stains like stains. Remember to avoid using too strong and abrasive movements, so that the wool doesn't get felted.
︎ Wash woolen knitwear only when necessary . Button up cardigans while washing and prefer a laundry bag at least when washing sparsely knit sweaters. Always wash woolen sweaters with cold water and detergent intended for delicate fibers. (For cotton and mixed knitwear, always follow the washing temperature specified by the manufacturer.) Do not spin or tumble dry knitwear. Washologi's ecological fine detergent for silk and wool takes special care of your knitted treasures. The detergent is a concentrate, thanks to which a smaller dosage than normal is sufficient for one wash. So one package lasts a long time in use, and you don't even want to hide the beautiful packaging from the eyes!
︎ After washing, shape the sweaters when they are damp and let them dry horizontally in an airy place to avoid stretching. Also avoid exposing drying knitwear to direct sunlight.
︎ Woolen knits have a special feature: they sometimes raise a fluff-like tuft on the surface. Don't worry, there's nothing wrong with the sweater! Puckering is typical for woolen materials, and it is mostly caused by exposure of the knitwear to friction (e.g. bags), when the ends of the short wool fibers rise to the surface of the knitwear. Pimples disappear when you pamper the sweater with a wool comb, which combs the surface of the sweater smooth again !
︎ Please store your sweaters horizontally in a cool and dry place. Nicely hung sweaters look beautiful, but particularly heavy sweaters stretch easily on a hanger. To avoid moths and stains stuck to the fiber, make sure that the knitwear is always shaken from stains before storing.
︎ Last and most important: wear your sweater with love and pride ! A beautifully worn sweater can become a companion that lasts for years, which you bring out of the wardrobe with joy every time autumn arrives at the front door in the morning.
