In honor of Women's Day, we wanted to tell more about the roots of DOTS stores, which is based on two career women, Tiina and Sara. Together, these two women have succeeded in establishing a wonderful and well-liked lifestyle store concept in Helsinki, Turku and an online store, as well as growing Villa Tremondo into one of Finland's largest import companies.
Their day together began when they met at work, when Tiina came to sell Sarale Leather Jackets at Ivo Nikko's brand store, which was located on the idyllic shopping street Frederikinkatu in Helsinki. It was like love at first sight, because only a year later both their own agency companies had been merged. The now nearly twenty-year-old brick-and-mortar store DOTS is still located in "freda".
Over the years, Tiina and Sara have become more than friends, they say that they are like a married couple, because they spend as much time together at work as they do at home with their own families. These two complete opposites complement each other and sharpen each other's edges. Work is a great passion for both of them, says Tiina, who has been familiar with fashion and clothes since she was young after being taught to sew by her grandmother. For that reason, it has always been natural for her to work with clothes, and at the same time it is Tiina's dream job, because her childhood dream has always been a family business in the trade industry. This has come true and the entire staff has become part of a big family, which Sara has been able to raise for the last few years.
Dots mainly sells products that Tiina and Sara bring from around the world to create for their customers a wonderful and selective selection of beautiful, high-quality products that are made with sustainable development in mind. Sara says that the most important thing in our stores is "service, quality and trust", which we do not compromise on! Everything we do is done with the personal twist of our wonderful staff and we encourage everyone to be their own authentic personalities. One of the wonderful DOTS babies is Anna, who is part of the DOTS family. He conjures the wonderful displays of the stores with his unfailing visual creativity and is responsible for both stores with all his heart.
